In a previous blog, I talked about how important taking baby steps towards something can be. In some cases, baby steps are the answer. But in others – it’s time to ditch the steps and go full-on plunge.

Whaaat? Am I nuts? What if I hurt myself?? :0

How many times in life have you wanted something, reallllly wanted something, but never acted on it? Maybe you said to yourself – I’ll finally do that one thing…whenthat other thing and this one other thing come into play?

Have you heard of the term getting ready to get ready

Well. That’s what I’ve been doing. Guilty as charged. Preparing myself to get ready, to get ready, to do something – which might actually be getting ready…to get ready…to get ready. 😉

Can you feel how exhausting that is?

We often make life so much harder than it needs to be. We procrastinate for a hundred reasons, when moving forward would take so much less effort.

In my case, Jason and I had been talking about cohosting a podcast together for YEARS.

Years of having thoughts like:

“There are a million podcasts out there. Why should WE do one?”

“Do you have any idea how much commitment a weekly podcast is?

We don’t have time for this.”

“Maybe we’ll have more time tomorrow or next week or next month?”

I still felt called to do the podcast. Yet, I still didn’t take action.

I recently sat back and watched myself having these thoughts (on repeat) and almost felt amused. ALMOST. These thoughts aren’t who I am. I am woman. Hear me roar! Am I right? So, I took the plunge – WE took the plunge – and hit record!

We finally did it. Jason and I bit the bullet and pressed record on our podcast. I felt a little anxious pushing forward, but I also felt powerful. No more second-guessing. No more, “What if (insert negative thought here).” No more, “Maybe tomorrow.”

And guess what? It didn’t kill us. Phew. We did it cuz we had to. It was time to stop thinking and start doing.

So, what have YOU been putting off? What “record” button could YOU push TODAY?

You may want a bunch of steps to get you there. What if I told you there weren’t any? What if I told you it was as simple as hitting record

(Psst. It is.)

It’s kinda like you’re one step away from not needing any steps.

Life is funny like that.

If I can motivate one person to move forward, to press whatever that record button means to you, then my work is done here.

In the meantime, why don’t you press play on our super rad podcast CUZ I HAVE TO.

It’s available on Spotify podcasts and will be on most of the other big platforms within the next week or so.

If we can hit record, so can you.

You’re one plunge away from fulfilling a dream.

CUZ YOU HAVE TO.

Namaste.
