This year is the first Christmas we will spend without my grandmother’s physical presence. Many of us are grieving recent losses, and others have been on this grief journey. My message is simple: tomorrow is not promised. LIVE fully, relish in family traditions, explore unique ways of celebration, create new memories and enjoy each moment as it comes. Sunday dinners.
Time spent together over meals.
Grandmothers pass down wisdom
as bread so meticulously kneaded on the floured table.
As it was passed down from their elders.
Cups full of philosophy & blessings poured into each pot.
Detailing moments of our past with hope for tomorrow.
Grandfathers relish in the glory of the day.
Joy.
When we know from where we’ve come,
we move with clarity towards promises of our future.
Generations of memories.
Felt.
Remembered.
Always.
